Countdown 1 day! – song of the day

In 2005 my all-time favorite artist recorded a cd of her favorite songs from the 60s and 70s.  One of those songs is my favorite from that time period.  So for all those that are still dreamers – here is Dolly with John Lennon’s “Imagine”

Countdown 2 days – song of the day

Because there are so many crazy people in politics, and/or because politics drives so many people crazy, I chose this song.  In honor of the those that are crazy or will be when Wednesday, November 7th arrives – here is Porter Wagoner with “The Rubber Room.”

Countdown 3 days – song of the day

One of my all time favorite campaign songs for one of my all time favorite Presidents!

Countdown 4 days – song of the day

Countdown 5 days – song of the day

Countdown 6 days – song of the day

This is for everyone who does NOT have amnesia concerning the years 2001 to 2009.

Countdown 7 days – song of the day

Many people have recorded this song – but my favorite is Ray Charles…

Countdown 8 days – song of the day

Inspired after the historic Presidential election four years ago.

Countdown 9 days – song of the day

This song was written in 1948, by Oklahoma’s own Woody Guthrie.  Sadly, in the 64 years since Woody wrote it, attitudes have not progressed. This is a recording by the Highwaymen (Johnny, Willie, Waylon and Kris) along with Johnny Rodriguez.
